ESCAP(E+) brings together six organisations with expertise in youth work, digital education, VR development, AI and gamification, ensuring a strong, complementary and impactful European partnership. More concrete, all project partners are the ones listed below:
The ESCAP(E+) project is motivated by the urgent need to enhance cybersecurity awareness and digital resilience among young people and youth workers.
In an increasingly digital world, where 96% of EU youth use the internet daily (Eurostat, 2022), young people are exposed to a wide range of cybersecurity threats, such as online fraud, phishing attacks, identity theft, misinformation and social media exploitation. Despite these risks, there is a lack of engaging, accessible and youth-friendly cybersecurity education. Most cybersecurity resources are technical, unengaging and not adapted to non-formal learning environments. Youth workers also lack accessible tools to teach cyber safety effectively.
The project uses gamification, experiential learning and non-formal education to make cybersecurity engaging, accessible and practical. It also ensures that all educational materials are open, inclusive and available as OER to reach the widest possible audience.
